It's your Sunday show rundown!

After a long week of Republicans doing a premature celebration over theunreleased Mueller Report  Barr four-page summary letter, it seems they are eager to move on to a winning topic:  Healthcare. So we begin this week's Sunday show rundown with White House ACTING Chief of Staff, ACTING head of the Consumer Financial Bureau, Director of Office of Management & Budget and Harry Potter if adopted by Lord Voldemort, Mick Mulvaney. Appearing on CNN's "State of The Union" with Jake Tapper, Mulvaney said a lot of idiotic shit.

From WHY they've decided on Healthcare (again):

MULVANEY: No, take the president at his word that it is -- it is time to sort of work on policy. Yes, we need to figure out what went wrong with the Mueller report, why -- in all fairness to your network, why the media got it so wrong for so long. But it is time to talk about healthcare.

To HOW they've decided they will tackle healthcare:

TAPPER: Right, but where's the plan?

MULVANEY: Well, we're -- we're doing the same thing on this that we did with taxes.

That ... isn't that reassuring. 

But it was when Tapper tried to get clarification about protections for people with pre-existing conditions that Mulvaney's talking point quickly fell apart:

MULVANEY: As to pre-existing conditions, I know a lot of folks have raised that. Keep in mind, every single plan that this administration has ever come out with has covered pre-existing conditions.

TAPPER: Well, let -- let me stop you there for one second, sir.

MULVANEY: Well, let me just finish, because every single plan out of the House Republicans, every single plan out Senate Republicans has covered pre-existing conditions. The debate about pre-existing conditions is over. Everybody supports it. Anybody telling you something different is just not being accurate.

TAPPER: No, but here's the thing. Here -- yes, the Republican bills talk about protecting people with pre-existing conditions. The difference between that and Obamacare is Obamacare says, we're protecting people with pre-existing conditions. Just like the Republican plan, you cannot deny somebody health insurance because they have a pre-existing condition. The difference with the Obamacare plan is they say, 'and you can't charge those people more in insurance premiums.' The Republican plans do not do that.

The difference between having "access" to a plan and making sure that said plan does not charge more for the pre-existing conditions is where Republicans fall apart. Before Mulvaney left to make ANOTHER appearance on ABC's "This Week," Tapper asked him about the bright idea to stop financial aid to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. Or as "Fox & Friends Weekend" put it:

They really are the C-Team of Fox News Propaganda  

MULVANEY: Honduras could do more. Nicaragua could do more. El Salvador could do more. And if we're going to give these countries hundreds of millions of dollars, we would like them to do more. That, Jake, I would respectfully submit to you, is not an unreasonable position. We could prevent a lot of what's happening on the southern border by preventing people from moving into Mexico in the first place. And that's what...

TAPPER: Right, but that's what the USAID money does, is it makes those countries more stable. This is not according to me. This is according to experts in your administration.

So the Trump assclowns are making the situation WORSE in those three countries, thus making their reasons for fleeing for asylum bigger and making future "caravans" (2020 election?) more grande so they can (continue to) claim a "national emergency" on the border. Same as with healthcare, it's Republicans throwing wrenches into the machines, then complaining that they're broken.

Let's move on to one of Trump's architects of healthcare, Sen. John Barrasso on NBC's "Meet The Press," to see his brilliant strategy for healthcare:

CHUCK TODD: Let me ask this. Should the American people expect an actual healthcare plan alternative from the Republican Party this year?

BARRASSO: The American people should expect to not have to be burdened with the incredible costs that are affecting them now, as a result of the healthcare law.

TODD: A plan, will we see a new plan from the Republican Party about what their alternative is?

BARRASSO: I've been working on a plan since the day I got to the Senate. And it is association health plans --

TODD: Twelve years now.

So the answer, Barrasso, isNO. No, you guys don't have a plan ready if you win the lawsuit and destroy ALL of Obamacare. Watch below as he basically gives a three-and-a half-minute song and dance to basically say they don't have anything.

We started with "evil Harry Potter" Mick Mulvaney, so let's end with Lord Voldemort himself, Sen. Rick Scott. Appearing on CBS's "Face The Nation," he gave his thoughts on healthcare:

SCOTT: But we do know that Medicare for All, which Senator Sanders is all in on, is going to just ruin our healthcare system. […] And it's also going to ruin private insurance.

Host Margaret Brennan, after Scott finished throwing the same old talking points on healthcare, then tried to get him to answer a very simple question:

BRENNAN: Clearly, the White House is going to have to weigh in, and the White House acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney was on other television programs this morning saying he can promise no one will be left without healthcare if Obamacare is struck down. But as you've just said there is no plan yet. So how can you promise that-- like a state like yours where it has the most people reliant on Obamacare of any state--how can you promise them they won't be left hanging?

And Rick Scott's answer? Well...

SCOTT: But -- but this idea of taking -- the government taking over healthcare and running all of healthcare has never worked. It's not going to work. We're going -- we're going to ruin the entire system.

Yep! It's "never worked" anywhere ... except every other industrialized nation with better life expectancy,   child mortality rates and better overall health or the VA/Tricare medical system. Yes, but other than THOSE successes there are none to speak of.

But what can you expect from the former CEO of a company responsible for the biggest Medicare fraud in history ? Honesty is not Rick Scott's strength.
