With a government like this, who needs external enemies? To what purpose is taking away medical care and food assistance? The idea of saving money went out the window with Trump's last golf junket, so now Vance and Homan and Miller, can revel in causing unnecessary pain on ordinary citizens - to no other purpose other than being cruel because that is their default position.

I live in a really rural part of California. The county in which I reside is big enough to fit many New England states within the borders. We have one hospital, and it's been on life support for a long time. The next real hospital is across the border in Nevada. Maybe your insurance isn't portable, only valid in California. Sucks to be you if the one hospital goes down in flames.

How could banning state limits on AI be a budgetary item that falls within the scope of a reconciliation bill, rather than a backdoor policy change? Parliamentarian, please explain.

As I understand it a bunch of nonbudgetary items were stripped out but I'm sure plenty were left in.

I get the "Artificial Lines" thing that makes us a Nation but then I thought isn't a nation also mostly made of people and if the people inside the "Artificial Lines" are the Nation then why do the Republicans hate America?

It's so weird how the economic middle of the american public votes against their own interests over and over and over.

The general public is blind to the relationship between marginal tax rates and a healthy middle class.

If the very wealthy pay little tax, they accumulate more wealth, and bend the rules even more to their benefit.

And since the amount of money at any moment is finite, their windfall comes from your pocket.

Sure, but IF YOU WAIT, you will share in the wealth when it trickles down. Dumbass.

OK, I wasn't going to bother calling my (Florida senators) because why bother. But figure I will just be a tally on the yes or not side (IF anyone bothers to listen to my message -- did not get a live person). I spent 10 minutes trying to find something to call it besides the Big Beautiful Butt but opted for senate reconcilition bill.

I see Rand Paul was one of 2 senators who voted against it, and also that he was playing golf with TFG during the Minnesota funerals. I imagine TFG was trying to "convince" him to change his vote. I think Lindsey was in that golf game to, I guess as an example of a Toady for Rand to copy.

When will Trump supporters and "red state" people wake up to what Republicans are currently voting to do to them?

Or will they buy some bullshit Trump/Fox lies about "liberals" and "immigrants" as the reasons why they will lose health coverage? Why "the grocery" is ever more expensive? Why companies are laying off workers?

of course he will blame Biden for everything, what does he care, once this is passed, he fulfilled his promises to the oligarchs and the country is ruined and powerless. If the people protest, SCOTUS already allowed him to unleash the military against us.

"Worth it to own the libs!"

This is it, exactly. And shit like this goes way back. Hell! In the '50s and '60s in the South the fucking local governments there would rather close down community centers and pools than have them shared with blahs. And every racist white piece of shit south of the Mason-Dixon Line was perfectly fine with that.

Fuck this country. We've always been a country filled with racist pieces of shit. And we are about to reap the whirlwind because of it.

There. Now I feel better.
