Harland Dorrinson, a QAnon spokesman, called R.F.K., Jr.,’s decision to run as an Independent “a blatant attempt to confuse voters” who were planning to support his celebrated cousin.
"Maybe this is what R.F.K., Jr., was planning from the very beginning,” he said. “I’m not a paranoid person, but it almost seems like a conspiracy.”

I've ranted as actual libertarian (and secessionist...), Republicans still think of 3rd party candidates as benefitting themselves bc the small role it played in 2000 and 2016, even though the conditions are quite different. What they're really unprepared for is that a Democrat might dominate the swing states thoroughly enough that it wouldn't matter if a Republican won the popular vote.
I know the words are English, but I'm having a really hard time wrapping my mind around the concept "if a Republican won the popular vote". It makes about as much sense to me as "if that duck shot my wife".
