I think I get it now. The problem isn't giving the rich a tax cut that they now admit will be disruptive to the economy, but that poor people just have too darned much. Or something. I'm not sure this meets certain criteria necessary to be considered...well, maybe the technical term is something along the lines of "not bullshit", or is it "un-bullshit like"?
Politicians of both parties have raided Social Security and Medicare to the tune of around 2 Trillion dollars. It's generally been used as a government slush fund, and has been for decades. If the government paid back the money it owes to Social Security and Medicare, the system would be funded into infinity, and Medicare for all would have been a distinct possibility.
Lol, I only *just* got to where a single job can sustain me & mine. For most of the previous decade, I've had two regular jobs and between 2-4 semi-regular side gigs (and actually, tho less regular at least 3 of those still apply). Mama knows what its like to hustle.
