Many of you know I'm a harm reductionist who has used Narcan™️ to reverse two fentanyl overdoses (one entirely on my own; the other with a fellow harm reductionist who did NOT have naloxone). I also lost a client who refused an overdose rescue kit; she swore up and down that after rehab, she'd never use coke again. She wanted the nitrile gloves from the ORK; I refused to remove them and gave her a pair of nitrile gloves. Less than a month later, she was dead of a fentanyl OD; she'd done some coke. She was so far decomposed when she was found that her family could not have an open casket for this beautiful, talented woman.

I volunteered with homeless people. Every day was a Narcan day. I never thought to tell them to just have faith! In what? Hope for what? That maybe, just maybe they would only wait three years for housing, shitty housing.

But there are some that become not only inert -- bad enough!-- but some that degrade into dangerous stuff.
Have doc appointment on 5 May & am gonna request script for the nasal spray instead of the shot. It just makes more sense!

Just so you know, the nasal spray is good for much longer than the expiration date would indicate. I don't know about the injectable.
