the "well-trained citizens" moniker is a huge cop-out. It just lets assholes like Perry dodge responsibility for any disasters caused by vigilantes by claiming ex post facto that the shooter was not well-trained.

It is a matter of statistics. Within 50-100 years we will all be related to someone who was a victim of such a thing (or, become a victim ourselves). At that point, all the false flag not time to talk about it yet bullshit will probably end. Patience, perseverance and duck I guess?
