See, I usually don't respond, but your post is so silly that it demands one. Any cultural anthropology course on the subject (not just one book that confirms your bias) would demonstrate the error of your thinking here. That Cortez was not a nice guy, has nothing to do with it. Subjects you should review? The festival of Xipe Totec, the dedication of the great sun temple, the pyramid of skulls, and most importantly? Why their neighbors helped Cortez. It seems they were a bit put out at being captured, or having their children captured, for involuntary participation in Aztec rituals. The fact that the Spanish were no better, is not an argument for your "noble savage" view of anthropology.
