Mama said knock you out. We have a feeling part of special counsel Robert Mueller's strategy right now, which could be more accurately described as a "ballet" or a "symphony" or "Virtue and Moir's gold medal-winning free skate last night," is to keep rolling up people Donald Trump has never heard of, to keep the president under the impression that he's safe, he'll never get caught, NO COLLUSION, NO COLLUSION, THESE OTHER GUYS ARE THE COLLUSION. Trump doesn't care what happens to other people, after all, because he's a selfish asshole.
Today is Friday!!Wonder what will happen today?I'm, kinda, expecting an indictment or 2 might come out. Every Friday seems to be the "something is happening" day.
Late to the discussion, so maybe not many peoples will read this. I swiped the following from a FB post. Anyone have further insight or comment? :
So a few things about the Van Der Zwaan indictment that will make you go hum...
1. The use of the term Person A. Indictments don't name people who haven't already been indicted. So Person A IS NOT Paul Manafort. Manafort would be named directly in this indictment if it was him.
2. The date. September of 2016. That's in the middle of the Presidential campaign. So although Van Der Zwaan was involved with Manafort and Gates in a case back in 2012. This isn't about that case. Manafort resigned from the Trump campaign a month earlier in August but was reported to be in close contact with Trump and his family after that.
3. The indictment mention Person A and Person A's FAMILY. Now thinks about that. Who's family would have been involved with Gates and Manafort in September of 2016?
Oh, I agree that it's not a smart thing to do, which means it's surely being considered. Trump thinks he's the emperor of the universe. But I've long said that I think Mueller, whose entire career has been spent in service to his country, is likely deeply offended on a patriotic level. It's astounding to watch, though, because Mueller's strategy is fascinating. And like anyone who does shady things & gets away with them, they operated with more & more impunity as time went on.
[non-comment redacted comparing Mueller to magical sky being in order to not offend the Christian soldier snowflakes.] Wait! I know...He's like PEPPERIDGE FARMS!!!
"... but his former law firm, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates, has. (Those names all sound like they are snowboarding tricks or maybe different kinds of loogies, don’t you think?)"
One million upvotes for a Monkees gif!
