The under count of COVID deaths is probably going to be historic and hidden until some statistical archaeologist uncovers it decades from now. I expect there is a higher death rate, but people are dying of Pneumonia instead of COVID. Easy peasy. how long did it stay covered in all states until looked at carefully?

Many of those counties only recently got indoor plumbing.

CDC is including pneumonia cases in their covid counts because of the overlap and misdiagnoses thanks to lack of adequate testing. Conspiracy theorists are using that as "proof" that every death is being labeled covid to inflate the numbers.
