There was no drinking baby blood drinking or devil worshipping when I went to college. There wasn't even partying, or at least none that involved me. I just remember a lot of work. Undergad was a lot of work, but not too difficult. When I got to grad school, it suddenly became hard. Even less opportunity for activities involving blood, Satan, or other fantasies right-wingers claim liberals enjoy.
I was a swot who worked in a ham store & food service. No cannibalism, either, but I managed to graduate w/o student debt as UCLA cost $431/quarter in the 80s. Take that, Bembridge scholars (NOT downplaying the horrible student debt situ which OHJB is fixing!)
I have a terrible memory but recall RB's first appearance on The Tonight Show. "Complete dross, " ran my thoughts. "Why is Mr. Carson hosting this?" Also, great Norma D. manque in the "Body Double" version of "Relax" by FGTH! Most 80s film of the 80s, IMO
I was born in a small town, (like John Cougar) and I was well on my way to becoming a small-minded, intolerant racist bigot when I was surprised to find myself accepted at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. It changed my life. Those 4 years opened up my eyes and my mind and I not only became a much better person, I saw the world differently. I owe so much of my good fortune to that place, and my parents for sending me there.
Good for you, and good on your parents! I grew up in PA and literally went to the wrong university in Cali (& transferred to UCLA) b/c if you weren't going Ivy League$$$, it was Penn State or community college, stat. My parents were sad but supportive and I've been in LA ever since. Cheers :)))
Don’t worry, Republicans in most places are working diligently to make sure no state funded or owned university continues to provide anything like your experience in the near future.
The University of Texas just laid off their entire DEI staff, after being reminded by a legislator "it would be a shame if something happened to your funding".
I have another brush with greatness to relate … some of you know that I met Sir Anthony Hopkins and didn’t get over it for weeks.
I was modeling ( yes, back in the Stone Age )at the Biltmore Hotel in Santa Barbara (way beautiful, right on the beach, Paul Newman used to bring his family there for Thanksgiving) I finally needed a bathroom break. As I flung open the door to the ladies, I came face-to-face with Gloria Swanson, well, not exactly face to face, she was tiny and I towered over her. I must say she looked great!
She was wearing a green velvet pantsuit with matching hat. I muttered “ Excuse me” and held the door for her, tiny as she was, I found her intimidating.
Wow, amazing!!! I used to love hanging out at the Biltmore (but stayed at Montecito Inn.) Montecito was my happy place until TyBeanieBabies ruined it. Who/what were you modeling for?
A tiny local model agency. We showed mostly clothes from local merchants at restaurants, like the Biltmore's, ramp shows too. However, since it's Santa Barbara, a lot of movies and commercials are shot there. I was lucky enough to get a national commercial for Dodge, yummy residuals. Of course, tons of extra work too if you have the right "look."
The Montecito Inn is lovely too. Half the celebrities in LA ( big exaggeration) own homes in the foothills of Montecito, Oprah, Prince Harry and wife Meghan, Steve Martin, Dennis Franz, Kenny Loggins. When I got to be a local TV reporter, I saw Kenny's house, some benefit to save the oceans. Spectacular, with views of the ocean all the way out to the Channel Islands.

Why does Roseanne still have a stylist and I don't?
Can we get it in a capsule? It really makes your breath stink.
I seriously feel sorry for this woman.
Possibly Earl Roe = Old Row, a "humorous" site that is now part of Barstool Sports?
Another garbage person who could fuck off forever and I would absolutely not give a shit.

Sure, yeah. But how much baby blood did you have to drink??? Huh?

I think Roseanne should be PAB’s running mate, and then after his humiliating loss in November, his next wife.
NGL, dig the turban. But not anything else.
It needs a feather in the front tho
Ta, Robyn. Roseanne should be barred.
Can you imagine a better time than watered-down, over-priced drinks at Mar-a-Lago with Trump DJing?
I would prefer to have the metal implants in my left arm removed without anaesthesia, thx
That reminds me, I have a dentist appointment coming up.

Artisanal babies are le mode.
Damn. All I had to drink at my college was either instant iced tea, RC Cola, Tab. And a lot of bad draft beer.

I love “Sunset Boulevard.”

The original Hollywood Vegan.
