Normally you'd expect a client this savvy, connected and dammit good looking to be represented by the giants of the legal world, Orly Taitz, Lin Wood, George Santos (who would step down from the Supreme Court to take the case). I cannot figure out what's going on here.
The actual non stupid Republicans have got to be looking on in horror, thinking "why will it not die?". They know he's burning the party to the ground and they're desperate to find a bus to to throw him under but no matter how many bullets they put in the guy, he just keeps going. My dream scenario is he does keep going, wiping out any possibly viable candidate and then right around July of next year something finally comes out that is so shocking EmptyGee even has to say she barely knew him, she thinks he used to get coffee at the White House.
And they they're stuck with him for one more spectacular crescendo of fail, costing them 10 Senators and 75 in the House.
Fly high, Fatso, fly high! Because you've already lost twice and there is no universe where 100 Federal Indictments is good for you picking up some more undecideds next time.
True. Almost any other defendant, with the evidence already public would almost certainly be in negotiations for which prison they were going to spend the next 8 years in, but Trump will die before he pleads so this has to be looked at as a case that will go to trial.
Trump is probably hoping some combination of he can beat it because the lies he posts on Troof Social are so powerful they'll drop the charges, or he'll be back in the White House and pardon himself and everybody else, or worst case he gets to stay out until he plays out all his appeals which with Trump could be measured in geologic epochs. I dunno how that may work out, but we need to amend or change the laws that provide SS Protection for former Presidents, so we can make some carve out for convicted felons.
I have read somewhere that the documents he is on tape sharing to impress a girl has not yet been found. Methinks we need to start figuring out how the FBI is going to get to search the Trashy Golf Club-North.There could still be hundreds of state secrets there.IANAL but to me, the fact that he is on tape talking about and apparently waving about this document that has been identified but not found is enough probable cause, if not for Emperor Cheetolini it surely would have been enough for anyone else.
Trump is right, there are two separate justice systems in America, and he sure did get the good end of that stick.
"And indeed after relying on Costello's sage advice Bannon was arrested and then convicted of contempt anyway." And sentenced, which for an ordinary person would mean going to jail, but not for such a special person as Steve Bannon.
What's the latest news with Dunphy's civil suit against Roodles for rape and sexual assault? That "bombshell filing" has just disappeared into the ether.
The Conways are the Mr. Tambo and Mr. Bones of minstrelsy. It’s all an act, for money.
Liz called him Roodles on her podcast. I don't like the name; it trivializes a really dangerous criminal.
For sure. But he’s also a tragicomedy buffoon.

I would be shocked if $2.5 million was spent on those suits.
I'd be even more shocked if the lawyers got paid.

It's time to start discussing changing the law about Secret Service Protection for Former Presidents to carve out a "convicted felon" exception.
We can't expect the Secret Service to move into Wakefield with him.
