I work in high ed, and the fact that these students attacked this guy this way, putting his life and his family’s life in danger, honestly just makes me wish a virus would come and just wipe out every right wing shithead in this country. I loath these people and I’m tired of living amongst them.
I help care for my elderly mom. When she is no longer with us, it may be time for me to take advantage of an opportunity I have to leave, as much as that breaks my heart.
The irony writes itself. A historian who literally studies fascism gets chased out of the country by people insisting they’re protecting it from fascism.
America’s freedom fighters have become the hall monitors of authoritarianism, reporting professors instead of reading them.
Does Ezra Klein still think Charlie Kirk practiced politics the right way?

"Go away, leftists."

Every day I think I'm going to wake up from this nightmare.

Footnote: the opposite of "woke" is asleep

It's a good time to reread Mark Bray's September 11, 2020 WaPo op-ed 'Five myths about antifa' https://archive.ph/CfUIA
No chance the Washington Post would publish this in October 2025 – Democracy Throttled in Deliberate Darkness there.
Imagine never having to put forward a good faith argument. There....for a second you were a "republican".
