we really don't want it. talk to someone on the border--they definitely don't want it and are prepared to fight it. and the "border security" efforts take law enforcement out of communities that need their assistance while also decimating the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department budget because 80 of their park rangers are down there rather than collecting fees for permits and fines for failure to have permits which is most of the department's budget. we love our parks. it's not a partisan thing. even John Cornyn has spoken out about the proposal to build in wildlife refuges.

you tried to describe Doggett without knowing him and then said, "Makes me think of my repub-light senator bill nelson." that's a comparison and you did make it. you could just say you're sorry for doing so instead of trying to back it up. and you would miss Texas--though maybe not taxes--but you have a knee jerk reaction to us so you haven't bothered to find out what we have that you'd like. thanks for playing. I'm not wild about Floriduh either.

Well, yeah, OK, empathy and reality and all that.

But isn't it more important to score a few cheap points into order to gain a leg district with peckwood voters than to do something decent?

Amazingly, CEO's of major corporations demonstrated more empathy on this issue than the Republican Party.

Predictably, Trump is now trying to break and harness the power of businesses and mold them to his will?

Hey, you know who else broke and harnessed the power of businesses and molded them to his will?

Charles Dickens via Jacob Marley?“Mankind was my business. The common welfare was my business; charity, mercy, forbearance, benevolence, were all my business. The dealings of my trade were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my business!”

I was thinking of a more recent example (hint: small mussy, short reich) but Jacob Marley was certainly a worthy predecessor.

And when you hurt yourself, what do you grab first? An ICE PACK! Do you condemn that ice pack, hypocrites? These are decent icebergs, just peacefully floating, who are understandably upset that boats are trying to ram them. That boat didn't even have a permit! Did you know George Washington was in a boat passing icebergs on the Potomac? Do you condemn HIM? Huh? How about Frosty the Snowman? He's made of ice. I suppose you don't like HIM?
