who would deny ladies such a tasty slut pill treat? nuns, that's who. Remember last week when we read the whole transcript of the "nuns don't want no slut pills" case, aka Zubik v. Burwell , aka Little Sisters of the Poor, and you were very grateful to us for our service to this great nation? Somehow this did not result in our being able to wash our hands of nuns or SCOTUS for any real length of time, because on Tuesday, SCOTUS went "Hey, this term doesn't seem unusual enough, what with Dead Scalia and a bunch of 4-4 decisions coming down the pike, so let's throw another monkey wrench into the mix, shall we?"
As other people have said, it seems like the main reason the Little Sisters of the Poor are pushing this so hard is that they want to make sure they con't run out of poor people. Although we know that having a ton of kids, or several unplanned pregnancies are so good at boosting your family income level, right? Especially if you are reality TV whores.
Oh, ffs. My grandmother had a saying about crap like this: This crap makes my ass hurt. (Which is not a pun, btw, just one of those funny little things grannys say.
You're making it waaaaaayyyyy to hard! I don't want to pay for boner pills for old guys or for stents for some fat-ass's 16th fucking bypass, but it's part of the whole deal when you live in a big, broad society. I'm not going to the damn Supremes to whine that since I'm so goddam health, why should I contribute for premiums for dumbasses who live on bacon, bacon, Mtn. Dew and horrifying ballpark food. I have to suck it. And I do.
So, to all those 'church-ie' types can just suck it. Everybody has to pay for something they don't like.
Uh... I agree, but if slut-pills are over-the-counter, insurance doesn't cover them, so poor women are still screwed. Full pop retail, those babies will go for maybe $100/mo. PP uses funding to pay for them & they're under the insurance company's formulary.
The way I'm reading this is that the Republican appointees on the Supreme Court felt bad that Congress was all on its own doing absolutely nothing and decided a second branch of government needed to join them.
The Little Tiny Sisters of the Poor don't want to be complicit in people receiving birth control. So anything they do that has the result of allowing that to occur is unacceptable. And signing a little piece of paper that says "we don't want to let nobody get no slut pills" would maybe put into action the alternate supply system. Therefore Obamacare must not ask them if they want to provide slut pills, but also must not provide slut pills.
The Little Sisters are control freak pea-brains, and the Supreme Court conservatives are psychotic, and not in a good way.

Good catch!

She appears to be Mad About A Thing.
Shorter Msmlg79: Litigious nuns should fuck off and take all the boner pills with them.

My brain hurts.

Lizzie?
Do the Supremes? Gladys Knight? The Pips?
The groups in question do actually employ large numbers of people. These are things like healthcare systems and hospitals, universities, etc.
you and your fancy logic and reasoning.
gross
you need an excuse to do that?
Thank you, Sam.
