Yes, Britt and the ex- football coach are absolutely exasperating poiiticians and are supposed to represent the citizens of Alabama but they do not speak for or represent all of Alabamians today; only the ones that voted for them.
Perspective: every state is obviously much more diverse that what is represented by it's politicians and that certainly includes Alabama; the picture you paint here is quite sideways and old. Come visit!
I've lived here my entire life, educated in world ranked quality educational colleges, earned from scholarships and working my ass off and served the citizens of our state throughout my career.
We find ourselves in unpresidented times so let's start deleting the old 'toothless bobumpkin' Alabama persona and create something different. I can assure you Alabamians are exhausted with the monotonous use in media of the thread- bare characterization of the typical Alabamian stereotype. It's antiquated, cliche and not funny anymore- it's become so engrained into our culture that children use it to bully other kids- I'm a teacher/ parent and withessed it.
It's hypocritical to protest for equality and human rights and then encourage regional stereotypical bullying- weird! Alabama is the center of the US civil rights movement of the 60's. We have had a dramatic, violent history- what happened here changed our culture and our country forever.
I'm all for parody, we need it right now- thank you. All I ask amidst the current chaos is to please consider giving up the 'dumbass Bama Bubba' for something that is much more creatively hilarious about us.
Trump, and his GOP Congress, will use Indirect Cost rates for reward and retribution. Alabama will be fine. Blue states will be screwed.
Fuck around and find out.. If it happens to one, it’s gonna happen to all
Britt’s hypocrisy is astounding, but wait, she’s an Evangelical Christian, so now it makes sense.
