When we call MAGAs conservatives, we feed into a false narrative that elevates them in the eyes of the independents who swing elections. We really have to stop doing that. These people are big-government activists. They don't want to "dismantle the administrative state," they want to create one that expands and solidifies their power to dictate how the rest of us live our lives. You're 100% correct! That's a brilliant observation. I hadn't considered that point of view. The Reagan conservatives are still anti Russia and Trump is obviously pro Russia. But beyond that, there really isn't any other discernable difference.
