It's hard for me to decide who is the worst Cabinet member, our Sec Defense or Kash, but all of them threaten our country.

Fuck the Republicans for knuckling under because they might get death threats from MAGA.

Democrats get death threats from MAGA every day. You don't think Richard Blumenthal doesn't get death threats from MAGA? Did that stop him from speaking out?

Funny how that works.

A word against Trump does put the speaker on Trump's enemies list.

His sole motivation for all of these actions is pettiness.

Of all the horrible things that have happened over the last couple months, this is the one that the QAnon Cretins are most overjoyed about.

By far.

With President Muskrat’s own approval rating in the low 40s and dropping, his threats to back primary challengers against republicans who don’t bend the knee may backfire badly on him.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut) tried to put in context what an incredibly bad idea it was for Republicans to confirm Patel, saying

“I am absolutely sure of this one thing: this vote will haunt anyone who votes for him. They will rue the day they did it.” […]

I assume that Sen. Blumenthal will be getting a hash letter from our New Improved Non-Weaponized Justice Department™ for having dared to utter that in the next 48 hours.

> Of course, if they had convicted Trump four years ago, he would have been barred for life from holding office again.

Not necessarily! Those are two separate things, which would have had two separate votes.

I asked my NH senators, who didn’t vote for Patel but did vote for a lot of his fellow shitstains, how that whole “bipartisanship” thing was working out for them. Clearly by voting for not-completely-insane nominees like Rubio they were assured that their colleagues across the aisle would reciprocate by not voting for the truly whack-a-mole candidates like RFK and Gabbard and Patel. That has really worked out for them so far…

In no uncertain terms I told both of them that they were failing their constituents, we would remember, and unless shit changes pretty drastically then when the opportunity came I would use every ounce of my abilities to get them out of Washington. Those fuckers need to understand THE GOP ARE NO LONGER YOUR COLLEAGUES, BUT YOUR ADVERSARIES. Treat them as such.

What you say is true except that the part about adversaries? It's been that way for at least twenty years, which is about how long I've been screaming it from the internet rooftops.

I hope everyone in government wakes up and realizes that. I have a feeling that if all Democratic leaders and elected officials don't get it this time, there isn't going to be a next time.

Clearly it’s been that way for a long time, but telling someone they’ve been a stupid tool for years is likely to make them defensive, nor self-reflective. Even though I just want to SLAP THEM AND TELL THEM TO WAKE THE FUCK UP.

Well, being nice to them hasn't worked. For four years I castigated the worthless, toothless, Marlboro-smoking, acne-having, hemorrhoid-scratching, bug-eyed Kardashian-watching morons in WI, MI and PA who were too lazy or too butt-hurt to get off their BarcaLoungers in 2016 to vote for Hillary Clinton and guess what?

They DID get off their BarcaLoungers in 2020 and vote for Old Handsome Joe.

But I let them off the hook and of course then they reverted to their democracy-destroying slovenly ways and Trump carried those states in 2024.

So CLEARLY we should have never stopped reminding those drug-addled, no-attention-span-having, mud-wrestling-aficionados in WI, MI and PA that the fate of our country STILL RESTS IN THEIR SCABBY HANDS.

Because that seems to be the only approach that works with them.

I’m not even going to touch the issue of voter participation, because it’s too fucking depressing. I’m trying to focus on something I can maybe possibly could be in theory influence right now, my Congresscritters’ votes.
