The Great Satan of the restaurant world is the National Restaurant Association...or "the other NRA" as I like to call them. Those no good rat fuck bastards lobby hard to keep the tip credit alive and well. Go to their website. It reads like it was written by your right wing asshole uncle who always ruins Thanksgiving by telling you how Hillary ate Vince Foster's corpse at Benghazi.
I briefly (like, less than three weeks) worked at Steak n Shake in Florida right after college. At orientation, they explained that if you didn't make minimum wage because of poor tips as a server (which I wasn't one of, thankfully) they would pay the difference and issue disciplinary action. I became a little more jaded about the world that day.
To make it clear, I would vote for The Wonkette for a political office... Maybe dog catcher or baby tender, but I would definitely vote for The Wonkette!
i do. when i was a little tiny thing, my mom worked three different jobs as a cook to keep a roof over our head, and food on the table. at a whopping 1.60 an hour. no tips.
Never wanted to go to 555 and sure as hell won't after this crap. When the minimum wage hike was on the ballot this past year there was no out for tipped employees - essentially EVERYONE would have gotten a raise. Restaurant owners in droves came out against it. It failed to pass as non peninsula living residents voted against it.
hey, look. many states are getting that treatment. i'm from NC, for goodness sake. i beat my state in the chest until its heart starts functioning again. i don't care how many ribs i break in the process.
I'm shocked. SHOCKED! To hear that! (not)

It's on a case-by-case basis.
You know what you never hear of in the teacher cases? Power bottoms, that is discrimination of the highest form!

I am sorry but I have to steal your last line for the anti Hillary people I run into, fully crediting you, of course.
Well, I'm a Bernie Sanders supporter, but I'm not anti-Hillary so go right ahead!
