I found a wonderful female lawyer in St. Louis called Deborah Arbogast. She had been an ER nurse until she got sick of seeing how doctors and surgeons screwed people, and so she went to law school and became a disability attorney. I just went to her for pre-application advice, and she gave me fabulous advice and DID NOT CHARGE ME A PENNY. Then when I needed a doctor to sign my disability application, and none of my own doctors would do it because god forbid they should have to take time off to go to court if and when my application was denied and I had to appeal, the time for which was not billable, Ms. Arbogast found me a specialist disability doctor in St. Louis who does nothing but certify people for disability. His name is Gurpreet Padda at the Padda Institute and Center for Interventional Pain Management. Dr. Padda charged $1600 for his services, but this included putting you through tests so he could certify your disability, reviewing your medical records, and being a witness in court if your application was denied, no matter how many times you had to appeal. He was worth every penny.

If the ability to take long term disability was a term of her contract, it would be hard to argue that complying with her contract was not a reasonable accommodation.
