As well as at least a little spontaneous electro-convulsive therapy.

And this is precisely the problem with this ruling.

Probably scribed it off an old 1930s German court opinion.

There is an intersection between the gun nuts and these cases. The Sovereign Citizens in my area used to monitor police radio and show up at arrests heavily armed to, uh, monitor law enforcement officers. Which I guess is at least logically consistent ... I mean, if you think your guns are to protect civil liberties and all, it naturally follows. Of course, things eventually went pear-shaped, and the local leader is now doing 27 long, parole-free federal years for buying machine guns and grenades, intimidating law enforcement officers, and plotting to kill federal judges. And yes, even after he repeatedly told the judge that he didn't recognize the court's jurisdiction over him.

Be careful... according to him, noticing that he's black while you were on the interwebz is a high-tech lynching.

How interesting that it suddenly acquired "sanctity" after Wayne LaPierre took over the NRA, when it didn't have it before then.

Clarence Thomas can't quit soon enough.

No, no-- the courts have allowed cities to make some small laws to control handguns and gun-traffic.

On the fucking FEDERAL level, however. . . .!

Do they still need permission? I thought that was a "Sovereign Citizen" myth?
