It's official (more or less). South Carolina bumps Iowa and New Hampshire in the Democratic primary calendar.
Thank God. The Iowa Caucuses, in addition to being exhausting, are just fucking boredom personified.
Among classic caucus hits from the most recent disaster:
“I want to change my vote for Pete I didn’t know he was gay”
They have zero relevance in a modern world. They should be banished altogether.
Last I checked, there’s a good deal of “rural America” in South Carolina and Nevada, only there, “rural” doesn’t automatically mean “white.”
