OT looks like Chuckie cleared the filibuster and is on his way to being confirmed- another nice boondoggle from the GOP is history. A truly awesome victory for the friends of Hamas...

Texas has its own 47%. The Aggie Frat Boy crowd is on its way out, and they know it, and it scares the hell out of them.

Hagel = Hegel

(I'd surprised if more than a few of the more educated wingnuts actually came up with this on their own, given the uninformed, strawman fantasy most of them see the rest of the world as.)

would that be the same "Party of Fiscal Responsibility" that blew 18 Billion in higher interest payments grandstanding over stupid stuff like the 500 Million Solyndra lost? Or maybe the same one who cost the US government 30 Million per day for a month while grandstanding over 16 Million during the FAA shutdown?

The truly sad part is watching all the rubes buy into the GOP BS about fiscal responsibility- it's like watching the suckers on the midway defend the Carnie who just spent the last hour ripping them off with a crooked ball toss game- mind boggling stupidity...

Anyone see the PBS American Experience on Jesse Owens? From a history site: In the morning, after fouling on his first two qualifying jumps, Owens finally leaped his way into the final, where he met the young German Lutz Long. Long tied the heavily favored Owens on his second jump, but Owens answered the challenge with a mark of 26’ 5 ½", the first jump over 26 feet in Olympic history, and an Olympic record that would stand for 24 years. As Owens and Lutz walked arm in arm around the track, the German crowd roared its approval. Hitler promptly left the stadium, missing the medal ceremony.

Pretty ballsy for a German in 1936.

Chuck's support from Friends of Hammas is less worrisome than his lack of support from Friends of Dorothy.
