Ta, Dok. We love our heat pump. It changed our lives. And on those very few days of the year it's too hot up here, it's an air conditioner also, too.

They are great. I have installed 3 at our house. They work great even in a Maine winter.

Neighbor had a chimney fire this morning, and that's the sort of thing that will become less common as we electrify our heating up here.

Maybe I will get a retroactive ribbon-cutting for my two-year-old heat pump water heater (which is amazing). But those weeds, I have to take care of the weeds in the yard first.

What a fabulous idea! Very cool. I am working on replacing a gas heater with an electric heat pump, can't wait. No more fudging about with gas bottles at 4am in the frost. Extra smiley : ) for the Ghost busters joke. x

Great idea, the more credit Joe gets for stuff (including being a freaking hero because he stepped down)

the more I like it!

I just got an electric herbicide sprayer so I can kill nature! (ha, ha, just the poison ivy and some invasives).

Oh, man!

Missed out!

We have induction, (love it!) and solar panels, (we always get a looow bill, cause we feed the grid)!

(Our town does not allow gas in new construction, and CA mandates solar, when you build a house.)

This is cute and fun! Make a thing of it! It’s a great enrichment activity for those bored interns too.

Good stuff. Remember it's not just one solution that's one size fits all. There's different solutions added to the mix so that there's something for each situation.

I'm one of the lucky and very happy recipients of a brand new heat pump through a local organization connected to Biden's IRA. No cost to me (retired and fairly low income). 😁 And happy...did I mention happy? Thank you, Prez!

I just got one in July. I had to pay for it, as expected, but I might get a tax credit. I bought my solar array almost five years ago now, and I'm still burning through the income tax credit from it. No regrets, no complaints.

Here in Michigan the Republicans are running a lot of commercials against Elissa Slotkin (D for Senate).

They begin one with her most egregious act, voting for the “expensive” IRA. They’re just assuming that people don’t know what it’s doing for them, and trying to scare them with how much it costs.

So far it’s not working; polls have her about 6% ahead in the upcoming election.

They really rely on their voters being clueless and easily scared.

The decision illustrates how 'special considerations' seep into our legal system all the time...

How about the special consideration that most if not all of the population WANTS TO KNOW...!!!

GODDAMMIT. Fuckdiaper's felony sentencing has been moved until after the election. STOP giving this lunatic's talking points credence. For Fuck's Sake. Hold the fat fuck accountable already.

F.T.C.: "A federal bill the FDNY contends would help douse the dangerous trend of e-bike battery fires that has killed 31 New Yorkers in four years has been stalled in the Senate since July. The roadblock: Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and his rage against what he sees as the Biden Administration’s campaign to ban gas stoves." (HuffPost)

The old double standard.

Americans have a right to know if Biden is too old for office!

We have to wait until after the election to find out if the convicted felon will serve time or not. 🤷‍♂️

Some very nice guys just spent three months replacing the natural gas main and each house connection on my narrow rural road. Many of us are switching to heat pumps this year anyway.
