I too will be dancing, but honestly, given my age and therefore the histories I have seen with my own eyeballs, just the fact that Abrams and Oprah exist in the world today, famous and alive and powerful and not locked up or killed for it, makes me feel a little bit hopeful and dancey.
AS a person who grew up in the West Indies we (regular folks) weren't permitted to own guns. My dad was in police service for a bit but he had to keep his gun at work in the work safe he had to sign it out every day and be responsible for it. I still don't much like guns and don't own one but I don't see the point in having one since I don't own the Hope diamond, I don't live alone and I am not in danger of having bears busting down my door to get food from my fridge. This last point is exactly why I don't mind other people owning guns who are going to be responsible for the firearms that they own. I met a woman one who said they kept a gun in the house where she lived previously because every spring they were in danger of having a bear bust in their door to get the food in their fridge and sometimes they would not leave. I am all for using a gun to get a bear out of your house or shooting one endangering your family to get food out of your fridge.
