I want to support this woman as she just said the truth. And hey, guys, freedom of speech is when everyone has a right to say what they think, not only one group of people. When you hear only what you want to hear thats not the democracy that's.. nothing

It's a neighborhood on Staten Island, the only Republican borough of New York's five. The name comes from a Dutch settlement.

OK. But she was attacking poor people for being poor. Considering 60% of the school district she woks for is economically disadvantage she's alienated a lot of students with her "non"-racist comments.

Another example of why I hated my assistant principals...and I'm a product of the top high school in the New York City Public School system, Stuyvesant.

I was told by my teachers that I was the stupidest member of my graduating class, when I answered a question right. I was told by the assistant principal who headed the math department, that since I had the lowest math grades in the history of the school, I had to become a mathematician or a toilet bowl cleaner. When my gym teacher ordered me to head soccer balls off my glasses (which broke them), and my mother came in on parent-teacher conference day, he yelled at her and cursed her out.

And my overall AP, head of the school, topped them all: he gave me cookies his monitor's mother had cooked. One small problem. They were full of ground nuts, to which I am deathly allergic. That was not the problem -- his reaction to seeing me lying on the nurse's couch, going into anaphylaptic shock WAS. He and his two favorite cronies stood there making jokes and laughing about my plight.

And that's just what I SUFFERED...don't get me started on my brother's Via Dolorosa.

I think school teachers are TRAINED DELIBERATELY to inflict pain on their students.

Doubt either of us are going to get a response.

I don't know where this BS comes from that residents of public housing don't have rent increases. Most of us pay 30% of our income. That means for any increase in income we get, regardless of source, 30% of it goes to rent.

Privilege is being this ignorant and clueless, but still being allowed to oversee children (some of whom are going to be Black.)

Just saying that we've entrusted WAY too many substandard people with positions of power.
