Love the Fabulous Furry Freak brothers references. For those who don't know, an animated version of the comic came out on Tubi (which is free). Season 2 was greenlit and it's produced by Workaholics and features the vocal talents of Pete Davidson (Phineas), Woody Harrelson (Franklin) and John Goodman (Freddy). https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10627334/
Also, I think I ran across a page where the musicians were named, and it was astounding. Mo Tucker plays drums, which is cool -- oh, and David Byrne plays guitar somewhere in there.
Oh hey, I got a Substack question. Is there any way I can just see a timeline of my own Notes without seeing everybody else's? I want to oppress you all with some nature photographs but don't want to post ones I already did (and there are probably other good reasons too). I use the browser on my laptop and the app on my Android phone if that helps, and I appreciate any advice.
Sure. If you're on a laptop, click on your avatar in the upper right, and that'll take you straight to a page that will show all your activity. The "Notes" tab is the default one that's opened, even (at least, it is for me on Firefox). Then you can go a-scrolling through all your posts to check.
That takes me (and I should've mentioned this) but that takes me to the notes of everyone else I subscribe to as well, and maybe a few suggestions, I'm not sure. It seems to give me everyone's activity, not just mine.
That's a good point, though I assume they want to get abortion rights into the state Constitution as quickly as possible before the gerrymandered GOP thinks up 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 way to try to fuck up Ohio's democracy.
"Earlier this month, the good people of Ohio firmly gave the boot to a Republican-sponsored bill that would have made it far more difficult to amend the state constitution."
Good on every Democratic voter who turned out, but I've been wondering how many of those 'good people" were Republican voters who suddenly realized what the ramifications of those votes for Repunk legislators were going to be.
Ohio's medical marijuana law was passed by the lege to avoid a full legalization bill on the ballot when the all-Republican statewide offices were up for reelection.

At least the AI article image is intended to look like a nightmare this time.

Excellent article
Since it's time for walking on locusts, here's the John Cale song where that line appears -- So What, from Walking on Locusts:

Huh. That's what I get if I click on my "Inbox" icon, but if I click on my avatar pic up there by the menu icon (the 3 horizontal lines), I get this:
https://substack.com/profile/5886535-jcfromnc?utm_source=user-menu
(hopefully you can see it and it's not limited to just me being able to look at it)
Okay, figured it out -- I go to Notes from the menu and then I click on my avatar there. That gets me the history of just my notes.
All I can contribute is the sound of St. George Carlin's voice saying, "Toledo window box,"
I am pretty sure I still have that record.
Weedlord Bucky? What about Weedlord BonerHitler?
An homage, obviously!
I am not into the devil's weed. But I'm fine with those who are.
But I genuinely think that the right to have an abortion is more important.
O High O! Am I the 1st? No? Still clever tho, right? Hello?
I got a rhyme that comes in a riddle (Oh high oh)
What's round on the ends but high in the middle (Oh high oh)
Name that tune for five hundred, Alex..

Ding ding ding we have a winner!
I've still got my original 7" of that. Haven't played it in years, tho.
Fat Freddy's cat shout out!
chef's kiss Doc!
Why isn’t this done NEXT November? Sherrod Brown is going to need all the help to again win in North Kentucky.

Wait, we got all the .. hang on, what? Dude!
Really sad no Congresscritters up for election this time, kind of a waste really.

Vote like nobody's watching!
Republican voters vote for progressive policies as long as brown and blah people don’t disproportionately benefit from them.
You mean the Repubs are getting woke? 'Bout damn time!
Excellent. Ta, Dok.
