If Lankford and others think like Trump, they are people I would not want as next door neighbors. Anyone wearing that badge of dishonor - a MAGA hat - would qualify. I would expect them to cheat other people in business, to disvalue the women in their lives, and slander people trying just to get their jobs done while Black. I am aware there are self haters in every social group. A MAGA community is by definition a dishonest one at the very least. "You are known by the company you keep."

You're drinking milk from a bovine. This is not set up for humans.

So we steal calves from cows and kill them for food and the mothers continue to make milk and then we drink it.

Good with cookies, apparently.

I say this as someone who drinks the stuff and likes it, and uses it for cooking, but that's the reality of the thing.

Drugs:

So one of the fun things about being married to an official old is the amount of medication going on. Neither hubs nor I have ever taken much, sometimes because we could not afford it (ok, most of the times) but since he retired and went on the 'care, his docs have been working over time to pill him the fuck out.

One of the important ones is not a pill, but a breathing thingy thing, that he needs to, you know, live (all of them are "so he can live" at this point, being poor gives you some city miles and then some). It is about a grand a pop. And that is just one of the 15 medications he is currently on.

guess you can say I am a bit worried about the killing medicare thing

Morning all! How’s your Tuesday? Since we’re not doing much for the holiday this year, I’m driving a friend to the airport this afternoon, then I’ll be house and dog sitting for her while she’s out of town. So I’ll probably be supplementing lizard and cat photos with some cute doggies.

They’re the most spoiled dogs in existence, so this should be fun. Their mother is retired, so they’re used to having their whims catered to. The little dog takes his breakfast (but only his breakfast) seated on the couch so he can watch the morning talk shows. No, I’m not joking.

-----

State health officials said Sunday that bird flu virus was detected in a retail sample of raw milk from Fresno dairy Raw Farm. The sample was collected by officials with the Santa Clara County public health office, who have been testing raw milk products from retail stores “as a second line of consumer protection.” County officials identified the virus in “one sample of raw milk purchased at a retail outlet” on Nov. 21, according to statements from both the state and the county. The county contacted stores Friday and recommended they pull the raw milk from sale. The test results were confirmed Saturday by the California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory System
