The last time I experienced total darkness I was 350 feet below ground level in a cave. They test newbies by turning off all the lights and chat for about 30 minutes; if you can't tolerate that they take you back top-side. I learned a couple things - I can handle the darkness, I do not panic and when a guy says "Help, I've fallen" and the ceiling is mere inches above him - he might not be accurately stating facts.
Forget the presidency for now. Concentrate on the House and Senate in 2022.
