I suspect that if Polidor had been holding up a sign that read, "Murder Judge Chutkan," Russell would have been OK with it because First Amendment.

They'll have to start doing like in Russia, China and (amazingly) the UK, holding up a blank sheet of paper.

Or standing with their backs to the dais for the entire meeting. Or wearing white t-shirts with red splatter patterns.

While Tennessee is Gerrymandered, it is also true that virtually all Statewide offices are held by Republicans. Governor, Lt. Governor and both U.S. Senators which includes the inestimable Marsha "WTF did you do to your hair" Blackburn. No Gerrymandering there, just a majority of Tennessean voters are fuckwads.

There's a large amount of voter suppression as well. They've made it harder to vote in Memphis and Nashville, while making it easier in rural areas. They've made it harder for college students to vote as well. If the eligible voters from Davidson county and Shelby county had voted in this statewide elections they could have swung the vote the other way.

You are probably correct. As white women, they are used to white men giving a shit about them, and they have been conditioned to get attention from men. The fact that they are crying means that maybe, just maybe, they're waking up to the fact that they are 'other'. I don't know, but if white women don't get it through their heads that republican policies will kill them and their families then I don't know what to say.

There's a very disturbing book titled "Worlds of Pain" by Lillian Rubin focusing mostly on white women in Appalachia. The degree that they've accepted and become accustomed to abuse is astounding that they would also vote for Trump given what I learned from that books years ago isn't surprising. It is a profoundly sad and an outright indictment of America.

I wish like HELL that I could've been there so that I could've unfurled a sign from the stick I need to use to hold myself up to stagger around.

Sometimes it is more than worth going to jail and THIS is one of them.
