I'm thinking Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander had a baptism, rather than a bris. But after reading his speech on Judge Neil Gorsuch's Supreme Court nomination, I thought I might offer him a little Yiddish lesson. Joe Biden says something about stopping a nominee in a president's last year in a Senate floor speech 25+ years ago and it's considered the gospel cast in stone for the ages to Republicans. The current president spouts some outrageous bullshit one day and the next day Republicans are 'forget about that, that was yesterday'.
So in order to testify about the president/potentially AGAINST the president, she has to get authorization...from the president.
