Tennessee State Senator and inaugural nominee for Wonkette's coveted Legislative Shitmuffin of the Year Award Stacey Campfield must have been worried that we'd forgotten all about him, so he's introduced legislation that protects the sacred right of teachers and students to say "Merry Christmas" in public schools.
People should just stick to a simple greeting, such as:
"Happy birthday to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who because of the treachery of teh Joos, later died, but that was OK because eternal salvation in heaven for everyone except the descendents of those Joos and teh Musselmenz, who are all probably G-Y-A anyway. Oh, and too, also the Moirémenz."
The "silly lawsuits" are his way of describing people exercising their Constitutional right to be free from government establishing religion. Of course Republicans don't like most (all!) of the Constitution except the second half of the Second Amendment.
So you are telling me that there are politicians out there manufacturing outrage about things that don't exist, just so that they can then "solve" these problems and be the hero?
Brings back memories of profile pics on Facebook with an arrow at one's name, saying "This person says Merry Christmas". Like that is somehow a bold political statement.

A bizarre practice, to be sure: <a href="http://rationalwiki.org/wik..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Snake_handling">http://rationalwiki.org/wik...
Put the Yule back in Yuletide!
That&#039;s not true: <a href="http://www.snopes.com/holid..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://www.snopes.com/holidays/christmas/santa/co...">http://www.snopes.com/holid...
Amen.

Bullshit. Never happen.
Existential threats can be terribly upsetting.
thinks Senator Campfield should prove himself as a Christian and go handle some snakes.

Just think of all the jobs this will create.
I don&#039;t think this annual Legislative shit-turd thing is working out. We need to award this weekly, if not daily.
