People should just stick to a simple greeting, such as:

"Happy birthday to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who because of the treachery of teh Joos, later died, but that was OK because eternal salvation in heaven for everyone except the descendents of those Joos and teh Musselmenz, who are all probably G-Y-A anyway. Oh, and too, also the Moirémenz."

The "silly lawsuits" are his way of describing people exercising their Constitutional right to be free from government establishing religion. Of course Republicans don't like most (all!) of the Constitution except the second half of the Second Amendment.
