Terrorists Hate Freedom, Russell Crowe
Russell Crowe suggests to GQ Australia that he was targeted by al Qaeda as part of a "cultural destabilization plot," this sometime before he received an Oscar for "Gladiator." Though the implication is that the terrorists gave up, we wonder if they just didn't get more crafty. Why kill Crowe? You want to destabilize American culture? Give him the Oscar. Also, we have to say, plotting to throw America into cultural chaos seems like, well, gilding the "Desperate Housewives." If you want to panic Americans, make culture more, uhm, cultured. Or show them a booby. That seems to get them worked up, too.
