It would be honestly fascinating to know how many modern lawsuits are performative. That is, filed with no intention of actually winning, but to get publicity, to "make a point," to get elected, out of sheer spite, or simply to get the plaintiff on FOX News.
Not too sure itβll get tossed out. Itβs filed with the Norhern Texas District of the 5th US Circuit Court. Thatβs the district with Judge Kacsmaryk presiding. Expect a weird opinion to be rendered
Also, because the political is personal and vice versa, not everyone could get the vaccine in early 2021. I know this because January 2021 is when the mister and I had it. He might possibly have been eligible for the shot since he works with the public, but he got conflicting info and didnβt challenge it, blah blah some maskless asshole gave it to him.
Yeah it was. March of 2020 for me. I thought it was gonna kill me, and I had a heart attack four months before that actually did kill me. I got better, of course, but still, Covid was bad.
My kid was in his residency up in the northeast when the first wave of COVID-19 hit. No vaccine yet available, sparse supply of PPE. It was grim. Paxton is truly despicable
" in at least some places a greater percentage of the vaccinated were dying from COVID-19 than the unvaccinated"
The way this is worded is just flat out wrong. You can lie with statistics by saying vaccinated folks were the majority of deaths, or that the # of vaccinated to die was higher. These are both true despite vaccinated people being underrepresented in COVID deaths. What's not true is the above- a larger percentage of vaccinated people dying then the unvaxxed. It seems they can't even word their lies correctly.
And they will need to prove their lies during the discovery process, I'm sure. But now that I see that Kacsmaryk is the judge I don't see a positive outcome to this case.
Why do I get the sense that Ken Paxton is less interested in the merits of these absurd suits, as he is in making huge payouts for "work products" for his minions and supporters? Stealth bribery???
Wait, I thought Covid was just a hoax and no one actually died FROM virus, they just died WITH the virus. Wasnβt that the talking point on the right for over a year?
In a country full of the 21st century marvels of science and technology, a third of the country not only insists on living intellectually in the 14th century, but on dragging the rest of us back with them.
I remember sitting alone in a lab, being one of the few who couldn't work remote, reading first hand accounts of the people removing dead bodies from apartments in NYC and burying them in mass graves on some island. Paxton should have had to experience that.
I half hope this goes up the chain in the court system. It will be like Darrow taking Bryan down to his briefs and garters in Inherit the Wind. Or more recently, the ACLU lawyers and witnesses dope-slapping the school board and their "experts" in Kitzmiller v. Dover.
Rats! I got my COVID vaccine back in 2021, and now I am ded. And since I got all the boosters (including back in September), I am even moar ded.
But since I am now ded, I can vote for Joe Biden as often as I want! Take that, Nazi Kenny!
Bwahahahahaha!!!!

Is this where I am supposed to say this?
AOT,K!
When it comes to those filed by Republican politicians? AOT, K.
So, Pacton is really that stupid?
Not stupid - evil.
(why not both? GIF here)
I hope whatever lawyer filed this for Paxton gets severely punished by the courts.
More math pls.

NATIONWIDE VACCINE BAN COMING!!!
Of course it was filed there.

And the OG Covid was a bitch.

Glad youβre better.

Paxton is a lying cock-sucker. Anything he promotes ought to be viewed with that in mind.

Paxton should have had to experience that -- as the dead body.
