Now that the "pro-life" Republicans of Texas have saved women from access to abortion, for their own safety, by shutting down almost all of the state's clinics, they're ready to solve the next problem: too much access to cancer screenings. In an effort to boot Planned Parenthood from the cancer program, lawmakers wrote a provision into the state budget to prohibit clinics affiliated with abortion providers from receiving funding for breast and cervical cancer screenings. Under state law, the 17 Planned Parenthood clinics participating in the program were already prohibited from performing abortions if they accepted taxpayer dollars.
Indiana is having issues with HIV outbreaks due to its defunding of PP. They were the only testing facilities servicing much of the rural parts of the state.
Too bad Bush #41 isn't in better health. I'd like to hear what "Rubbers" has to say about this since he was a long time supporter of Planned Parenthood.
Whoa, whoa not so fast. Don't rule North Carolina out. We've still got confederate flags, 72 hour waiting period for 'bortion thoughts, and local magistrates can refuse to marry the gheys if they don't like the color of their skin (or anything else).
And the Guv'nr was a Duke Power exec for nearly 3 decades and the state lege is controlled up and down and on both sides by Regressives and there is the war on education (bye bye tenure!) and New Years Eve is celebrated with the great Possum Drop and Art Pope is to the state what Kock Bro's are to everywhere else and Mike Huckabee just topped the Elon Univ. preznitial polls this week.
Ewwww, can Floriduh drop out now?
Along with Ann Richards.
True. 'Planned Parenthood' has become another Al Sharpton/Al Gore/ACORN/BENGHAZI to the RWNJ's. Barry fucking Goldwater's wife was Preznit of the AZ chapter of PP, fer gods sake. When you are too the right of Barry Goldwater, you're clinically fucking nuts.
These guys take being mean spirited pricks to a new level.
Ann's daughter Cecile does her momma proud
Well, fire season hasn't even started yet...
Living in California sucks at times, but we do have decent medical screening programs for low-income women and children, as well as good access to birth control and abortion services. It's simply good public policy to provide these services.
She sure does!
I miss Molly so much :-(
is this what fracking fluid in your water does to you?turns you into an inhuman fuck?
And we'll tell the difference how?
It's horrible when that happens, believe me. My wife had to have an Inhofe removed from her right ovary.
Rick Perry obviously does not see the irony of some dolt (himself) explaining how Texas keeps score when he (himself, again) has difficulty counting to three.
