Cheezits... I live in the area that gets WBAP... and by "gets", I mean I can tune it in on the AM dial, not that I "get it".

AFAIK, there are NO left-leaning talk-radio stations in the DFW listening area. If there are, someone tell me, 'cause I sure as hell can't find any. Oh, there's NPR, but I don't count that. I listen to their book excerpts and those odd little gameshows they do on the weekends, and reruns of Garrison whatsisname... but most of (our local) NPR is a snooze-fest. It's where golf announcers go to retire. Or maybe after they've already passed on. Whatever.

So I listen to WBAP sometimes, and mostly when NPR is being snoozy, and KRLD (news radio) switches over to its weekend programming, which is usually shows about stock portfolios, vitamins that will prevent all sorts of death, and car talk. Or when they do sports.

I don't listen to music, and for that I am truly sorry, but talk-radio is what I like. Only free though. I wish I could afford to listen to Fugelsang (not sure if I spelled that right) on his SiriusXM dohickey, but I saw how much all that would cost and said "ok, fine, I'll listen to these lunatics on WBAP and it's all your fault if the pod people get me".

Now I forgot what my point was.

I think my point was this: I've listened to WBAP's shows, and for some stupid reason, I'm on the Pete Sessions robo-call list.... and so I'm not surprised at his crazytalk. What DOES surprise me is so many of my neighbors and family members believe and support him. Family get-togethers are a treat//.

I think I need a drink now. Or maybe coffee.

"...but we have a group of people that are in our country that we’re afraid of, that have created chaos and confusion, and now our country is confused..." When I read this I thought he was talking about the blacks, but now I think it was about the browns and maybe the yellows. What's happening to my country that I don't even know who I'm supposed to hate any more? I want my country back!

Just so I can show you my age, 45 years ago I would lay in bed at night, living across from White Rock Lake, and listen to Bill Mack play truck driving country music songs on WBAP. It drove my Mom crazy when I would sing those dumbass lyrics as a kid. Now, she hates WBAP as she calls it "shitbag GOP radio with an extra dose of stupid." She's 81. And she also hates truck driving songs. But god bless her because she loves the 2 sexiest gay guys who live across the street because as Mom said "they have more style than Rick Perry has dick." My mom is awesome. Welcome to Dallas. GOP transplants and the electorate who voted shit stains Perry and Paxton into government.

YEP.The funny thing about your analogy, though, is that new studies show the Neanderthals may not have gone extinct, but may have been absorbed into the gene pool (i.e. we fucked them ALL), so everyone ended up mixed-race!

Which has happened to Brazil (gorgeous people) and Cuba (gorgeous people) and is happening in the U.S. (if you want to get more gorgeous).

Meh, even their most popular concepts of heterosexuality would make a U.S. Republican's head explode too!

(this is literally the ONLY result of my Google image search I can even re-post!)

Well having jurisdiction over the entire USA I guess they qualify but then they probably have jurisdiction over the entire planet

Which begs the question - why the fuck do they seem to be only from america or england?

A real quick lesson in just how not-homogenous Asians are is to call a Japanese person Korean, or vice-versa; or a Chinese person Japanese or Korean.

He must have never actually visited Japan to make a statement like that. I can think of two distinct groups of "Japanese" folks off the top of my head: Ainu and Okinawan.

I remember when Pete Sessions was running for Congress in the early '90's, he drove around his district with a farm trailer full of bullshit to protest Bill Clinton's health care policy. I see not much has changed; still spreading his stank around on the airwaves. If he'd actually"been in lots of societies, like say Japan", he would know that Japan is NOT "homogenous" and also suffers from Xenophobia, discrimination, and the marginalization of certain groups- just like we do in the good ole US of 'Murrika. When will an interviewer call these bastards out on their racist rhetoric? I mean right then, when it comes out of their face holes? Geeeez, it's going to be a long 16 months...
