True story: In the late 80’s I worked as a delivery driver at a pizza joint on Vine Street in Hollywood, CA. One afternoon I had a delivery to a video post production place on Sunset Boulevard called Complete Post. As always, parking was hellish. Once the 2nd floor delivery was done, I headed down the stairs instead of using the elevator, since it’s quicker, and the lunch rush was ongoing.
For whatever reason, Scott Baio was standing in front of the fire door at the bottom of the stairs, not visible through its narrow window. When I flung the door open, it knocked him to the floor where I recognized him from “Happy Days”. (I never saw the spinoff.) I helped him up and apologized, and he advised me to slow down. Thus ends my Hollywood Brush with Lameness. Sorry, Chachi.
Is it me, or is SirisuXM the breeding ground for C list edgelords who provide the majority of the platform's "in your face" comedy that's beamed into the brains of so many of angry RWNJ dipshits? The chasm of irrelevance really scares a lot of these comics, who were none too bright to begin with, straight into an opening act at that club from Green Room.
Looks like the only one who made it out of Half Baked and into the 21st century is Guillermo Diaz.
The band's name was inspired by a quote from Rick Parfitt of the British band Status Quo. Parfitt stated that he thought the name "Quite Right" would make a good band name and the term was misheard as "Quiet Riot". The band was inspired and chose this as their new name.
