Ta, Erik. I've loathed Ronnie Raygun for so very long! My mother retired from USPS before he could cut her pension.

I wish I could upvote this 1,000x.

Every worker-bee jerk who voted for djt needs to understand some basic facts about the labor movement, about how badly workers have been treated for hundreds of years, and about how badly djt and Elno treat their workers.

Everything I knew about Hormel (no, it is not pronounced HOR-mǝl) I learned from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EagPzmaVc38 Interesting that it was made during the company's short progressive period.

OT: I opened our HOA's annual letter with "The state of the Association is good. We have conquered the next block over and razed their hovels to the ground, driving them into the wilds and making pyramids of the skulls of their pets."

To see your neighbor's dissalowed decorations and disregulated flagpoles, driven to the dump before them. To hear their lamentations. This is what is best in life. ;)

In-laws have a contractor friend who did work on their house whose daughter is married to a Ukrainian. They had just had a baby at the start of the war. She got out but the husband went back to join the military.

I don’t know how the in-laws can feign concern for their friend and his daughter while also supporting Trump, Fox News and what they’re about to help Putin do to the Ukrainians. WTF is wrong with these people?

They voted on "fake news"

I’m still trying to figure out why I’m hearing so many Ukrainian-Americans voted for asshole.

Hopefully the second season of President Trump will be such a ratings disaster that Trump and Vance are quickly replaced by Kevin James and Leah Remini

The new season of "The United States of America" could have been so good.

Instead, they brought back the old star, who had been arrested.

And convicted.

Trouble is, too many people loved those four long seasons and are convinced the old star was the best character, whereas the rest of us knew it had jumped the shark the first episode they introduced him.

🙏🏾 Thanks so much for this and all of your articles, Lord Erik of Loomis; your prose is sublime. Always flush-with-history, entertaining, logical and illuminating reads — and never too far in the weeds detail-wise. 😁

Turns out the Church of England is just the Catholic Church after all. Canterbury goes, in part for the flaws of his predecessor, in part for slow walking the prosecution of a kiddie fiddler friend of his.

To be fair, the Baptist Church here in the USA is also the Catholic Church, considering the efforts they made to hide their own kiddie fiddling.

Story bit: After Cosmo Lang died, the bishops got together to pick a guy, and couldn't. They waited till the Bishop of Leeds had passed out from too much vin ordinaire, and nominated him.

And that was how Aleister Crowley became Archbishop of Canterbury.

So, I understand that Mark Meadows didn't get his case into federal court. Wonder how he feels about that?

Yes indeed! 11th Circuit held awhile back that he's not entitled to remove the state court prosecution to federal court. He petitioned SCOTUS for review, which today told him to go piss up a rope.
