Fun night in dreamland last night. It was a double feature.
First was an adult-rated espionage film featuring Good Guys being chased by Bad Guys, with the McGuffin being a bleeding-edge, highest-tech microchip hidden within a butt plug. You can guess some of the scenes the Muse offered.
The second feature was also a spy flick, but a comedy in an almost anime style. Two little Spanish kids (their Mom's a foreign ambassador) help the Good Guys in company with their "uncle." The "uncle" in question is a magic fox, just visiting on his way from the Spanish Pyrenees to see relatives in Japan. In human guise he looks a little vacuous, wearing denim pants, a white shirt that hangs to his knees and an odd conical felt halt.
The first movie got a little odd. One scene had a Good Guy sitting in his car, window down, when a Bad Guy shoved a gun against the back of his head and demanded the McGuffin. The Good Guy had it in a plastic bag inexplicably sitting in a bucket of water.
The second film had a fun scene where Uncle is attempting to slink around the perimeter of a room in fox form, his body elongating to nearly six feet as he wraps around corners.
I've had a couple of dreams lately where I seem to be working at a job that I left 30 years ago, wondering how I ended up back there. At least your dreams involve some adventure.
