The Bush Haters and the Bush Lovers
Today's WT has an oddly terse yet exuberant -- one might even say ejaculatory -- review of "Misunderestimated: The President Battles Terrorism, John Kerry, and the Bush Haters." One particular passage caught our eye:
[W]e get a "warts and all" portrayal of Mr. Bush and his staff. The book opens with a fund-raising trip that . . . resulted in the Bush staff spending a night under siege, locked down in their hotel with a homosexual softball league. Despite the fact that the situation was potentially explosive, Mr. Sammon recounts it with wit and in a smooth style that permeates the book.
Explosive, sure. So that's what they're calling it these days. Guess we'll have to actually read the book to find out who was pitching and who was catching. (Though that does explain where they got the warts.)
