The single dumbest phrase in military history is "Pete Hegseth is the Secretary of Defense".

You know Mayor Pete served in the military even though he is gay and somehow never undermined the integrity of the unit he served in. It's OK to be different.

Why would any sane person want to enlist or remain in a military led by like-minded, dim bulb bigots?

Talk about "unit cohesion" and "mission readiness"!

I'm still waiting for Hegseth to decree that the under-construction Ford class carrier USS Doris Miller will be renamed the Donald Trump. After all, it's named after a black sailor with a female-sounding name who was just a sucker enlisted hero and not even a rich white male Republican President, so it's a diversity three-fer and must die.

Just be sure not to berth the Donald Trump anywhere near the John McCain. That would send our thin-skinned Commander-in-Chief into conniptions.

Good, maybe he'll stroke out.

How close are they to banning Mr. Rogers? He put his feet in a foot bath with a Black man. Surely that cannot be allowed.

Hegseth should embrace Freckleface Strawberry - after all it's embarrassingly apparent that his difference is that he doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground and everyone around him can see just how incompetent he is and possibly only the "diversity friendly" folks will allow that he's marginally human.

I it almost seems to me that they are trying to build an american version of Hitler Youths.

"Seven Days in May" need to be remade.

With the alternate ending.

What, no Bari Weiss or other free speech absolutist to tsk them over their censorship and free speech violations when they are ACTUAL free speech violations, what with being the actual government doing it?

*glances* ah no, too busy cheering them on and tsking at us for being alarmed, I see.

These people represent the worst of us. It’s a sad indictment on the American people that we empowered a man like this and allowed his darkest manipulators to turn back the clock on kindness, empathy, tolerance and inclusion. It won’t last, because it never does. History will remember this tragic misstep, and so will many of his voters. They are already surprised that his mass firings are (mostly) not along party lines. It’s a very cold, long winter.

Ta, Robyn. This will not end well; it's already horrific.

And I used to think that Donald Rumsfeld was the biggest fool to stroll the E-Ring . . .

The single dumbest phrase in military history is the next words out of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's dumb fucking mouth.

When I think of that drunken lout, I just replace his stupid head and voice with Foster Brooks. Seems fitting.

The mouth breathers at DoD also pulled a Ruth Bader Ginsburg bio off the shelves. Apparently the subject matter was too womany and Jewish.

How long until certain personae non grata begin to disappear from formal group photographs?
