'Is the plane a violation of the Emoluments Clause? Ha ha, what’s that? Scott Bessent says it is more like when France gave the US the Statue of Liberty.
“The French gave us the Statue of Liberty. The British gave us the Resolute Desk. I’m not sure they asked for anything in advance".'

As I am fond of repeating, “Corruption equals dollars divided by donors.”
This applies very well when we compare Trump’s airplane to the Statue of Liberty. The former is the gift of a tiny group of obscenely rich petrocrats. The latter is the gift of hundreds of thousands of donors, both French and American (the French donated to pay for the statue and the Americans for its pedestal), and most of these donors gave less than a dollar each.
Before conservatives call something “corrupt,” they ought to have some notion of what this word means.
The Pentagon, and it is not the Pentagon but the asslickers Trump instilled, bet on it, were ok with leasing the president's plane from people who fund a named terrorist group (everything else aside, the US considers Hamas a terrorist organization. And they were willing to lease a plane from the people who fund them).
Ta, Marcie. 🎶... and the cheat goes on ... the cheat goes on. I refuse to let this maladministration drive me insane. I look forward to AOT, K, getting their comeuppance some day, but I shall not hold my breath.
Now we will find out if the Air Force is going to ignore their own fire safety regulations. That interior which aside from size of the plane is all Trump cares about. Qatar has its own civil aviation authority but this being a personal jet not for hire I'd be more than surprised if any regard for fire regulations of any authority were observed.
I don't expect that assignment to the 89th Airlift Wing of the USAF is entirely voluntary. Yeah, we have an all volunteer military but not once you are in for routine assignments.
Why isn’t the media reporting on how much this white elephant is going to cost taxpayers to retrofit and maintain? He’s sticking us with hundreds of millions of dollars just so he can have a “flying palace.”
If and when the democrats get back in power, one of the many things they need to do right away is cut off all funding for this boondoggle. Let Krasnov’s “library” eat the maintenance costs.
"It's so yooge so big biggest we use a smaller but still very big plane to get to it after the smaller but also big -- large, you know this word? 'large' is old time talk for 'big' and money like 'fiddy large' -- after the helicopter gets me to the right place, soldiers all along the way..."
As I understand it, the two planes Boeing are working on are also used 747s. There is something fundamentally wrong that it's taken Boeing this long and with cost overruns in the billions but the bigger question is, what are they going to make the next generation of Air Force 1s from in as much as the 747 has been out of production for years.
And the grift goes on, the grift goes on.....
"Planes keep crashing from heaven to the earth, /
La de da deedee, la de da deeda/
Trump keeps grifting new memes for all they're worth/
Tesla keeps crashing, both stock and street,
Billionnaires continue to be tax cheats
And the gift goes on/
the grift goes on
La de da deedee, la de da de da/..."
FTW!!!!
Maybe it will crash.

Or lease it.

Wait'll you see Sect Shitfaced "Party Bus Plane"!
Plane Mcplaneface!
I hope he doesn't plan to change his mind about who owns that plane in a few years.
Hahahahahahahaha
Why can't the Dumbo Jumbo end up in the Arizona aircraft boneyard after the new AF Ones come online like every other surplus jet the DOD has retired?
And if PAB wants to take up residence inside it that would be fine too, as long as the hatches were welded shut.
The plane has to be stripped down to the screws.
It's a Boeing. Like Fatman, it's already missing a lot of screws.
Hey it worked for Fist Lady Melons.

Personally I don't care if the interior is made out of Sterno.

And Trump responded by demanding that Harvard get rid of all foreign-born students.
Just kidding--there's no indication that he even saw that particular poll.
The thing about the students is real, though.
38% of Americans like to lick doorknobs
There's a mistake in that video in the article. There's nothing honorable about Marco Rubio.
Little Marco has always been a useless empty suit. But he’s been exceeding all expectations as Secretary of State.
Well he’s being honest when he says he doesn’t know anything.

It’s Boeing. It’s not like the company has a stellar reputation for efficiency and quality control.
They used to before the fuckers from McDonald/Douglas took over
Grandpa needs his Depends changed again.
