How can this administration attract so many nut jobs? Simple 60 years ago we traded tin foil for aluminum foil. That was so simple - give me another hard problem in healthcare “I alone can solve it”.

'The White House has since responded to the report, blaming the fabricated studies and other problems on “formatting issues.”'

For which my thesis advisor would have thoroughly reamed me. So you blame your own carelessness? Sounds right.

Of course that report was spit out by AI and released without even a first glance let alone a second one.

These are lazy, stupid people.

And where are these TV ads about ADHD in children and depression in teens appearing? I watch a fair amount of TV and have never seen any. If I hear that Jardiance song one more time...

How did they expect to get away with this nonsense? Did they think the authors wouldn’t come forward and point out that they didn’t write those papers? How dumb are they?

The mistake they (RFK Jr and others) made was in not scrambling the names of the supposed authors. John Jones and William Smith should have been written William Jones and John Smith and no one would have caught on.

Why not go all the way and claim that the author is John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt? After all, his name is my name, too.

John is too well known. I've always wondered if that could be sung as a round.

It'd be many times more annoying that way.

The good news is that we will, with Kennedy's help, soon have universal healthcare. It will consist of leeches and bloodletting. Plus, people will have to grow their own leeches.

The truly poor will have to rely on mosquitos.

> See? That is just completely fixed!

I'd like to remind our listeners that the Lisa Littman "study" on ROGD did the exact same thing. Initially, the "study" claimed that it found very strong evidence that ROGD is a very real social contagion mental illness that is infecting the vast majority of teenagers in the U.S. When it was pointed out that all the data in the "study" was completely fabricated (as admitted in the "study" itself), Littman reworded the conclusion to say that she found no evidence of ROGD, but did find evidence that some people on the internet believe ROGD exists.

Holy shit -- unless the internet is completely wrong, I know Lisa Littman. I went to high school with her. For whatever reason, neither her professional online presence nor her husband's mention their spouses. Her Facebook page mentions nothing of this ROGD stuff.

Thing is, both she and her husband are VERY smart. I just don't get it.

You mean the mystical, supernatural, New Age, alt-med BULLSHIT sold by hippie-dippy loons at psychic/spiritualism fairs?

Gee, I wonder why it was never recognized.

i.e. creationism. the Soviets rejected Mendelian genetics in favor of junk science because it offended their political ideology.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lysenkoism#Lysenko's_claims

Doing so set the Soviets back in bio-sciences research for 4-5 decades. This is where we've been headed due to religious and "know nothing" and xenophic interference in STEM studies and federal funding. All because scientific research doesn't back up their claims that the poor and POC and women and 'infirm' are inferior and deserve to die.

This is such bullshit. Tangentially connected, what can we do about things like this, especially the rule change for the COVID vaccine and the developing bird-flu vaccine? Is there a letter writing campaign or something? Seriously, I'm thinking that the only solution will be to go to Canada or Mexico to get COVID vaccination and, hopefully if other countries will fund development, the bird-flu vaccination...not everyone has the means to do that though.
