Mueller closed up his shop without interviewing anyone who was part of the Trump Tower Treason Meeting. It’s hard to prove Russian collusion when you don’t even look at the most obvious and blatant example of collusion and decide that the guy in the middle of it was just too fucking stupid to commit crime.
The report is extremely straightforward about how obvious it is what has happened. He lined up all the dominos ready for Congress to impeach. Then no one knocked them down.
He needed to be out there publicly prosecuting the case anywhere they would let him as soon as the report was complete. He didn’t come to play politics, and I get that, but he needed to shove the politics aside to make room for the truth and he didn’t do that. No one in Washington read that report, I guarantee it, but Mueller let it stand on its own merits- which amounted to letting people tell lies about it without coming back at them with the truth.

I think about this almost every day. My theory is that Mueller is from a different generation where people actually cared about facts and would do the honorable thing.
