The Skyrocketing Cost of Janet Jackson's Right Breast
Fuck! We sure are glad we don't work in radio or TV.
Look at the latest shit they need to put up with, courtesy of the Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act, which is about to become law:
The maximum penalty for broadcasting indecent material on radio and television will increase tenfold to $325,000 under legislation passed by the House yesterday that awaits only a promised presidential signature.
Ouch -- that's pretty steep.
CBS is currently appealing its $550,000 fine for exposure of Janet Jackson's right breast during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show. Half-a-mil for one lousy breast -- which was also covered by a starburst pasty? We're with CBS on this one.
