If I had a little dog like those, they'd have a whole wardrobe of little onesies.

Running with scissors will be allowed at the Olympics this summer.

So this timely gif is just a preview.

Even when they run with scissors, they are good dogs...

I made the mistake of reading the NYT cabin story.(https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/11/realestate/wood-cabin-home-ny.html)

They RUINED that cabin. I am SO tired of reading about rich people buying a place and then destroying it utterly. These thoughtless yahoos should have stayed in NYC where they couldn't have done such damage.

Quote: It was ‘Wood on wood on wood, in a very terrifying way.’ Oh, that's such bullshit. It's a f'ing CABIN! It's SUPPOSED TO BE WOOD ON WOOD and it's not terrifying. Now it's "airy"? Yeah, because you ruined it.

Why do they always interview these horrible home ruiners instead of normal people who buy a house, respect if for what it is, and restore/remodel it thoughtfully?

If someone gave me almost a million dollars, I could knock out a fair-to-middin' cabin. Just sayin'

Really wealthy people spend their money in ways that truly mystify me.

I am pleasantly surprise that Daniel Radcliffe has had such a successful career after Harry Potter. Some people, like Adam West get so typecast for one role that that's the end of the career.

SterWonk's avatar

I was saying the other night, he's gone out of his way to *not* be typecast. He seems to be willing to try anything that sounds fun or interesting.

The "Weird Al" project was thoroughly delightful. DR has some excellent judgment/advisors :)

Melissa's avatar

Why are the Qbies so obsessed with dead people? They claim every dead famous person from the last 200 years is actually still kicking. Weird

Amezed's avatar

Would venture that it has to do with reluctance to embrace progress/change (says the person who uses a flip phone.) Their vilification of Dr. Fauci, for example

Melissa's avatar

It's okay, Amelia, I have a landline and am a progressive but don't believe Mike Flynn is Elvis and Marilyn Monroes offspring.

Martha Stewart did her time without whining, without blaming The Deep State, or DOJ, or whining "RIGGED STOLLEN UNFAIR!" In other words, more of a man than the MAGAts.

Amezed's avatar

Martha Stewart is a wildly successful businessperson, clearly has a sense of humour about herself, and is a beauty into her elderdom

So, the opposite of Sir Fartsalot

I almost forgot about QAnon. When you have so many Rs and Conservatives running around right now barking out fantasies, it really takes the wind out of those old conspiracy tales. I see that Q-ball in particular still has the same old chutzpah, all-caps yelling about Michael Jackson being alive and reappearing on June 10th (checks watch)...

PRW's avatar

'TrumpWorld is scared. PROBABLY OF SPIDERS' I would have thought sharks, given what a major talking point it is?

spidersharks, the stuff of nightmares

Martha Stewart did her time without whining about the Deep State and RIGGED and UNFAIR. She did it like a champ and has rebuilt her brand. In other words, more of a man than any of the MAGAt martyrs.

Daniel Radcliffe has had such an interesting career post-HP. He's on Broadway, but he also played a superpowered farting corpse.

I don't know why Steve Bannon isn't doing jumping jacks of joy about the prison he will go to.

Hot AND cold running water. Food. A metal bed with a thin mattress. Supervised recreation. Free teevee. A chaplain. Healthcare provided.

A lot of people might consider such a gift an opportunity to roll up their sleeves, sit down at their desk and physically write out some kind of manifesto in their free time.

Or they might use a system of pen-pals to get the word out to their followers about how they are formulating a post prison ACTION PLAN and the followers need to stay tuned. Or fund raise some money. Or engage in a self-improvement program. Or get religion.

All I'm saying is that Steve needs to start seeing this as an OPPORTUNITY and not an imposition.

Look at all the stuff Hitler did while he was in prison for attempting a violent insurrection in Weimer Republic Germany back in the 1920s. He actually organized his whole campaign to set the whole wide world on fire while he was waiting to get out.

DJT down another $2.75 or 8.47% this morning, trading at $31.78.

As many have said, it's still over-valued by about $31.78.

But really, think about this - DJT stock is very, very thinly-traded, since the majority of shares are in the hands of a dude who cannot trade them right now (that's PAB, of course).

To be down as much as this stock is means that everyone BUT the majority shareholder is bearish on the company. Funniest thing though is this little note at the bottom of the stock's page:

"This stock is not currently covered by any analysts."

Since you mention spiders -- I had a dream about spiders last night. I was in a kitchen at someone else's house when a big-ass grey spider crawled up the wall. It was maybe eight inches across, and covered in long, feathery hairs, which helped it glide away to safety, as we discovered when everybody in the room freaked out about the massive fucking hairy spider on the wall and tried smashing it with spatulas. So yeah, flying spiders. The size of dinner plates. You're welcome.

Let me preface this OT update by saying: I have a mysterious Cloak of the Unseen on all social media and blogging platforms. I can't even attract *bots*. I had a twitter account for more than a decade and posted regularly, and the most followers I ever had was about 300. The only notes my blog posts get are sympathy likes from my actual brother. My instagram pics are mostly to let the twelve human people on there who know me know I'm alive. A tumblr post of mine "does numbers" if it breaks two digits. Heck, you can search my account/blog/etc on whatever platform for *things I have written* and sometimes get no results. Okay?

Well, the other day I reblogged a tumblr post about Batman with words to the effect of "the bat-issued medkit is the most classified thing the bats have because you can't let anyone, including the Justice League, know what it takes for a human being to do what they do and survive" heavily implying that they're all full of the kinds of drugs etc which would be unlawful if any regulatory body knew they existed, and uh. I had to turn off notifications for the first time in my life. The little bubble is at "99+" and now I'm scared to open the app. So anyway I hope they all get great enjoyment from it and also leave me alone.

The same reason Bannon needs to go somewhere special applies to one of the indicted J6 co conspirators, currently awaiting a decision from SCOTUS on whether he is a King, this article from 2019 nails the MO.
