There's a vid at that Snopes link, which I think is from the 2011 TV News show in which he said that in a callin to the show ( It's a little confusing, since the Snopes piece and the YouTube title on the vid say it was WWOR-TV in NYC, but there's a Fox News 5 widget in the lower right corner. Channel 5 in NYC is WNYW ( used to be WNEW when I was growing up )....
It's a ten-minute clip - and is full of bullshit besides that shit about the "tallest" building...
