Speak no more about dead Rush Limpbow.

He is Satan's problem now.

But...olives stuffed with WHAT? Pimento is the obvious if disgusting answer, but the tone of the original suggests some, arguably delicious alternative--some secret stuffing that would redeem the whole wretched mess.

I hate recipes like this. Not ones with mysterious ingredients; I'm used to those from my Southern (on one side) / New England (the other side, the one that couldn't cook) handed down in childhood. No, I hate recipes like THIS: ones signed "Mrs. Rush H. Limbaugh, Sr."

Snarkrates's avatar

Am I bad because the first thing I visualized when I read this was demons force feeding this vile concoction to Rush 24/7/365?

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

Mrs. Rush H. Limbaugh, Sr. is a monster. A bona fide monster.

I'm surprised her jello recipe didn't include canned clams.

First, Crisco doesn't come in a jar.

I grew up on chicken fried in Crisco. I will sign an affidavit under oath to it's goodness. See you in court.

Limbaugh was the source of all evil. Without him there would be no Trump nor idiotic wingers,

Snarkrates's avatar

Yep, and the piss is still seeping into his grave.

RRJKR's avatar

We hope Has anyone decapitated him and driven a stake through his heart just to be on the safe side.

The job of Border Patrol is getting tougher, and they're bringing in more agents to serve as chaplains to help

-----

Please feel sorry for them.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, even of half as much worth as the conservative's belief that they are always being treated unfairly.

Always Be Ithacating's avatar

Wow. Lay people nominated by their churches attend a 2.5 week academy, and then they are, poof, Border Patrol chaplains.

Forgive me if I have little, er, faith that this will help anyone, especially migrants.

"M"'s avatar

Bet you $2 these are White Christian nationalist "church"es

"M"'s avatar

I wrote this long response about how White people weaponize that feeling and Substack ate it

I'm not a big fan of Jesus, but I'm sure he wouldn't have been on board with harassing border crossers. A bit too close to his own experience, that is.

Villago Delenda Est 🇺🇦's avatar

The true sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was inhospitality to strangers. You know, like "Christian" nationalists practice.

RRJKR's avatar

`Wingers would have hated the real Jesus. Would have called him a communist! All that disdain for material wealth and wealth sharing. Forget about it1

VwllssWndr's avatar

The Bible is full of bits about treating foreigners in your land as guests.

Maelen Moonsinger's avatar

It also has literally hundreds of passages advising aid and comfort to the poor, and not a single one of them demands a credit check first.

This made me LOL. 🤣😂😁🤣

US drone firm appoints Trump Jr as adviser and sees stock price soar

Stephen St John's avatar

It makes me sick, but you have a better attitude.

Ambiance Chaser's avatar

The Trump family tradition says committing crimes in public, and telling everyone you're committing them, assures you will never be accountable for them . . .

Hasn't been wrong so far . . .

Free beach's avatar

Nope, especially if you just flood the zone with crimes. Then people say, you CANT be guilty of all that crimeing!

Always Be Ithacating's avatar

Every day, the Trump failsons become more Qusay and Uday in public.

InMyRoom's avatar

Unusual Machines also said Trump Jr, the oldest son of the president-elect, was among its investors. A filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission listed Trump Jr as the second-biggest shareholder.

In a press release that described Trump Jr as “a globally recognized business leader” and “best-selling author”, Evans said he would “bring a wealth of experience”.

marydn's avatar

Have these people spoken to DJTJ? Let alone seen him? Seriously I would not invest in a company that would describe any Trump that way.

Jamshied Sharifi's avatar

“a globally recognized business leader” and “best-selling author” – words that now have no meaning.

"So WE'RE gonna USE these things to FIND BLOW, right?"

The Amish farmstand where we get our eggs raised the price for a dozen from $3.50 to $3.75. I guess they figured if they voted for Trump they should reap the rewards.

InMyRoom's avatar

Are feed costs projected to go up? They may be frontloading funds.

"M"'s avatar

That's hardly an excuse if they voted for Trump Kakistocracy and their "plan" is to pass the costs on to consumers

Always Be Ithacating's avatar

I imagine relying on God to protect their chickens against bird flu, and refusing government insurance and aid when it does, raises their costs a bit.

It's Thanksgiving, so these egg yolks needs some thyme.

I have been thinking about this today. Smithfield Packing Company:

Founded in 1936 as the Smithfield Packing Company by Joseph W. Luter and his son, the company is the largest pig and pork producer in the world. In addition to owning over 500 farms in the US, Smithfield contracts with another 2,000 independent farms around the country to raise Smithfield's pigs. (Wikipedia)

Smithfield has been owned by a Chinese company since 2013.

The company is one of the largest environmental polluters in the country - carbon emission, groundwater contamination, you name it. And, the damage is largely to poor communities (of course).

BTW, the company exports a lot of its goods so it is doing what the US has done for decades, in reverse - exploit cheap labor and the environment to send its goods abroad for sale.

Cheap labor? The company employs mostly immigrant labor (legally through visas and illegally) and has been cited for child labor violations on numerous occasions. Given the department of labor's failures to identify and prosecute companies that use child labor, the practice is probably widespread.

So, is Trump going to deport the labor that supports this company?

"M"'s avatar

Not if the CEOs who employ undocumented immigrants PAY him

If they go along with the shakedown Donald and his henchmen grant them an exemption

abbienormal's avatar

Except, it is a Chinese company. Puts him kind of a bind, doesn't it?

"M"'s avatar

What a hot mess this will be

Why is my reply box to you pink?

abbienormal's avatar

New substack thing I guess. Very annoying.

"M"'s avatar

Yes.

I don’t like it.

Does everyone hate it or just the two of us?

abbienormal's avatar

I guess we have to wait to find out!

MRK's avatar

Yes, but we'll still never hold the executives accountable.

arglebargle's avatar

Well, at the very least he'll get rid of those pesky inspections.

paperlesstiger's avatar

That will be good for competition. Consumers will have a choice between bird flu and swine flu.

“Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil” is a quote by Thomas Mann

Another quote related to tolerance is from Charles J. Chaput, who said, “Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good”.

Stephen St John's avatar

That Karl Popper thing about tolerating intolerance comes to mind.

Mike_Cramer's avatar

“Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good”.

The trouble is that quote can be used against us. The right insists we're the "evil" preaching tolerance trying to silence the "good," i.e. Trump-voting, Murica-loving, White, male, Christian, "Patriots."

Maelen Moonsinger's avatar

Evil will always say that it is the good. It's only in cartoons that you have the wicked in black suits with black top hats, a moustache to twirl, and a monocle.

Jamshied Sharifi's avatar

Still easy to identify it by hats.
