Between Herrera and Paxton, Texas has the opportunity to show the rest of America exactly what sort of place it is. Since Greg Abbott is also on the ballot seeking his *4th* term, I think we may already know the answer.
These people show us every day that their world view is not compatible with the kind of mulit-cultural, pluralistic democracy contemplated in the Constitution.

I have a recipe for stuffed whole wheat bao, and we're going to stuff them with mushrooms for our first effort. We bought a pasta attachment for our KitchenAid stand mixer, and the first thing we're attempting with it is dumpling skins. We absolutely love vegan dim sum, and we're now equipped to create it at home.
That said, I can probably veganize this recipe; there are great vegan cheeses, butter, milk, and egg replacers now, and we have a bag of whole wheat bread flour. Cheers from the NYC pied-à-terre.
