The streets are not laid out in driver-friendly grids, and street repair is continuous until winter. The T and bus system is long overdue for a major overhaul and the fighting about that is ongoing. Getting lodgings, food, and services, well, good luck with affordable options--maybe look at some guidebook sites? Boston has at least 50 colleges and universities in and around it. That's a lot of college students who might be greatly pissed off at the current regime for multiple reasons. Protesting has been continuous in this state since at least January 20th. Religion up here is not your bible belt fantasy.
So we know that the trumpanic will arrive to quake things up. It's what they do. Their threats will challenge the locals to do their utmost to make the invaders feel unwelcome and precarious without the Insurrection Act being invoked. It's a local sport. No, not everyone who lives here is blue in their politics, but they sure like living in a "blue" state! I wonder if everyone has installed the ICEblock app on their phones yet...
Something is going to happen soon. Trump keeps on turning the temperature up, The protests have been going on all over the country but they haven't changed anything. With winter coming, inflation soaring and heaven help us, if Congress doesn't pass a budget at the end of the month, something's gotta give.
DO NOT dis the Nat Guard troops, as long as they are just walking the streets and picking up trash and landscaping. They signed up to follow orders. If the ordered are stupid, they can and should roll their eyes, and still follow them. If/when the orders become illegal…well it’s pretty hard for a 19-year-old private from Bummfuccque, Tennessee to make the hard call and stand up for the Constitution, especially if his Sergeant is telling him it’s all for the good of the country.

And I would ask so-called "white" folk who think they're safe, how long do you suppose it will be until ALL Americans are made liable by our SCOTUS fascist supermajority for exactly the same treatment? Trump's ultimate goal is to brutalize and terrorize the entire American populace into total submission.
