VOX had a super interesting set of pieces on people who get Obamacare, but voted DT. The crux is they didn't believe anyone actually would repeal the law, not when "so many people need it." Fascinating.
I saw something earlier today about how, when Republican plans for taxes and regulation are described to voters, they simply refuse to believe that they're true because they're so cartoonishly awful. They assume that Democrats are exaggerating and merrily vote Republican anyway.
